It may have been too early to plant peas…

…which means Read was right. Dangit.

The temperature will be around freezing every night this week. I brought the pots into the house, where they’re only safe from the cats inside the bathroom.

I planted 36 peas on the Ides of March (March 15) and they are doing fine! I did cover them when the temperature went down to -10C but, apart from that, they have been left to fend for themselves.

That’s good! Mine didn’t have as high of a sprouting rate as last year…maybe because of the cold? But those the came up are doing okay. Peas are hardy!
